TX 07 Culberson

TX 07 Culberson

John Culberson (R) represents Texas’s 7th congressional district where over 43,000 individuals receive their health care coverage through Obamacare (ACA). Had Texas opted for Medicaid expansion, another 31,000 would be covered in his district, including 15,000 children. Yet he has voted for ACA repeal 19 out of 19 times to take away their health care. Maybe he forgot 59,000 of them are eligible voters. Let’s remind him by spelling it out for him – and painting him a picture.

TX-07 encompasses parts of western Harris County and Houston.

In the Presidential race, Hillary Clinton won this district by 1.4%. In the House race, Culberson beat his opponent by 32,000 votes, helped in large part by 18,000 Hillary voters crossing over.

A switch of 16,000 votes (half of 32,000) will defeat Culberson in 2018. We can mobilize 77,000 Health Votes to defeat him.

  • 18,000 Hillary crossover votes
  • 43,000 ACA enrolled votes
  • 16,000 Medicaid Expansion votes
  • Total Health Vote: 77,000

With 77,000 Health Votes versus the 16,000 needed to defeat him, Culberson’s Vulnerability Ratio is 4.8(highly vulnerable).

ACT NOW, BEFORE HE VOTES AGAIN. Call, Fax, Write or E-mail Rep. Culberson NOW.

Cut-and-paste suggested letter (personalizing helps):

Dear Honorable Representative Culberson:

Congratulations on your recent election victory by a margin of 32,000 votes.

I am writing to you out of concern about your position on the Affordable Care Act.

If you vote to repeal the ACA, you will be jeopardizing the health and finances of over 74,000 of your constituents – 15,000 of them children.

If compassion for their lives doesn’t sway you, consider the fact that 59,000 of these individuals are eligible voters. Combined with the 18,000 Hillary voters who crossed over to vote for you – and who strongly support Obamacare – 77,000 Health Votes may be mobilized against you, come 2018.

We hope you will do the right thing by your constituents and be a voice for their ongoing health and financial well-being by voting against ACA repeal.

Sincerely,

(Your name here)
